JOB DESCRIPTION:
Guide our logistics operations with precision as a dispatch professional at Zac-Tranz. Your
strategic thinking will ensure timely deliveries and contribute to the overall success of our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Dispatch drivers and monitor equipment status to ensure pickup and delivery standards and other customer requirements are met.
Communicate to driver (pick-up and delivery standards), shipper and consignee locations and any special customer requests.
Monitor driver location status and provide help and assistance as necessary to protect pick-up and delivery standards.
Prioritize the assignment of equipment to customers.
Manage the productivity and profitability of the Intermodal fleet by monitoring equipment availability and managing costs.
Ensure solid understanding of Transport Canada and Compliance matters, providing help and information as necessary to ensure the driver stays qualified and available for dispatch.
Address and resolve problems with shipments in transit in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to Dispatch 25+ Drivers in Fast Paced Environment.
Knowledge of pick-ups & deliveries out of QC/ON.
Knowledge of pick-ups & deliveries from QC Rail Yards.
Strong Computer Skills to Check Availability; Return of Empties; Communicate with clients.
Strong Organizational Skills to adapt as to what the day brings and maintain control jobs at hand.
Strong communicator with drivers and team player with coworkers•
Knowledge of Drayage Regulations.
5 years of previous dispatching experience (Required).
French- English Speaking (Required).

Customer Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Zac Tranz CSR: Resolving customer inquiries, managing complaints, promoting products, ensuring satisfaction, maintaining records, and upholding company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives all delivery orders from customers and exercise discretion. Use judgment when relating to the customer requests, schedules and informing dispatch.
Enters all orders into Zac-Tranz software for dispatch – technical lines requires specialized training, experience or knowledge of transportation industry.
Verifies bookings are released at depots/ports for export moves, and traces import containers on the rail/port to confirm delivery is made by last free day or port cut off.

REQUIREMENTS:

French/English spoken & written.
Knowledge of Ocean freight FCL, Imports/Exports.
Microsoft Office & Outlook fluent.
Good understanding of appointments procedures of the Port of MTL/MTL Rail terminals.
Communicate customer delivery needs and appointment dates/times to customer and relate service requirements to dispatch. Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.
Work in a fast paced environment.
Additional qualifications beneficial.
